It's such a good book. We take the girls to the library and also end up buying them books as well. They both love to 'read' and be read to. It's strange I don't remember being read to as a child only reading myself and numerous library trips....even though my parents promise they did read to me!!The Creative Academichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02438707871350549392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669321052517553257.post-48551727573777597272014-01-23T10:51:20.824+00:002014-01-23T10:51:20.824+00:00One down and one to go....am loving them both :)

I have always, always loved books but yes, since the kids arrived I definitely read less - less in quantity but also less in the sense that I want less challenging books. I just want to be mildly entertained. My husband got a kindle for Christmas and he loves it. I often think how useful my phone (with it's internet access, facebook etc) would've been during those night feeds seven years ago.... xGillian Roehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05080123177116154219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669321052517553257.post-73407768444411369852014-01-16T14:35:08.902+00:002014-01-16T14:35:08.902+00:00Like you, I'm not a joiner-in but this being a...Like you, I'm not a joiner-in but this being about books, afraid I couldn't resist. And I can't tell you how excited I was (and really at my age that is just ridiculous) to read about someone who used to play libraries, even making the little tickets that go inside - or used to before all this computerised stuff. I even had a little printing set and had a piece of paper inside the book on which I would stamp the date it was due back. Never thought to fine people though, bit slow there.... that was back in the late fifties and into the early sixties, when children's games seemed to reflect real life more than these computer games, thank heavens!
Enjoy the reading...Edwinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03439221693794136665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669321052517553257.post-74758117106592306842014-01-15T21:06:10.529+00:002014-01-15T21:06:10.529+00:00Babies and books don't mix. I was too exhausted, and at night all I wanted to do was get those zzzzzzz's in while I could.

My MUm pushed me into joinging a book group when Olly was about a year old. It made me read a book a month (I don't like to let anyone down) and also gave me some me time again. That was important.

I'm really looking forward to this project, because I get to choose what I read, and I can pick up recommendations for all of you too!

Leanne xxLeannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15617604296746784414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7669321052517553257.post-61678073907656471522014-01-15T20:37:45.340+00:002014-01-15T20:37:45.340+00:00The same thing happened to me when I had babies.
